Teacher feedback: Emily, this is a well constructed, thoughtful piece of work. You are clearly a competent composer and the way you have structured your piece gives it a sophisticated quality. Your choice of chord progressions is very good and you have structured the instrumental sections well. The instrumental part of this is very close to being completed - now you really need to focus on an interesting melody for the vocals, that fits well with the lyrics you have created.
Peer feedback: - I like how it had a clear verse and chorus, it was also really good after that because it had a bridge section which then built up to be the chorus which gave the song a feel as if it were going somewhere, rather than just repeating. To improve I think that lyrics could be added.
- All of the instruments and chords go very well together, and it has a really nice style. The transitions were smooth too which made it sound really good.
- The timing of the instruments was very good.
- It had a good beat and you can understand what is happening when and where.
- It was a good upbeat piece that evolved into different instruments, which made it interesting to listen to.
- Good build up to piano chords, nice melody between violin and piano, big variation between instruments and chords. It would be even better if it kept a strong drum beat throughout.
- I like the different amount of instruments that were used. They all sounded right for the style of the piece.
- It was really good but could have more instruments (eg. flute?)
- It was good, great guitar, nice use of piano. More instruments could be used.
- Good use of instruments, could add vocals.
- I particularly like the bass and guitar parts in this piece.
- Flows very well, all parts were there. Especially like the breaks and drum patterns. However, it became a little repetitive towards the end and could do with an extra riff to play, as well as some lyrics.
- Very catchy, good drum beat, I like how a range of instruments were used to make the song more interesting. Could be improved by playing in own chords.
- The beat was really good and the bass fitted perfectly with the rhythm.
Teacher feedback: Emily, it is clear to see that you've invested a lot of time in this composition, and its a very good start. Think about the following: 1 - does the bass line match with the chord progression 2- how long does the composition last? 3- do you need to plan a structure for the composition?
There are many good features within the composition Emily, just a little fine tuning which we can discuss in the lesson.

I am currently working on The lyrics and I'm not using the lyrics creator.
DeleteIt's quite hard to create some lyrics without help from the website but the website is very repetitive and boring.

Well done - keep up the good work
Thank you. I will work on those and try to make it fit in with the rest of my composition
